(Who is that guy wearing the corset?)

Leeland's song "Opposite Way" talks about how God's will for us is to go in the opposite direction that the world is going. That is what RYM's youth leadership programme is all about, and the reason behind the name "Upstream". We are called to be salt and light to this dying world. To swim upstream of the godless flow and to encourage others to follow.
Every young person has the potential to make history for Jesus, if only they would renspond to God the way Isaiah did... "Here I am send me!"
RYM's leadership team meets weekly for prayer (essence), is encouraged regularly via email, meets monthly for upskilling, participates in occasional outreach events, enjoys a yearly mid-winter retreat and runs an annual youth leadership conference.
If you attend any of RYM's programmes and are keen to go the opposite way and persue youth minisrty leadership, we want to hear from you!
Jesus gave every Christian everywhere the command to "go and make disciples". Every Christian should therefore be active in the disciple-making process (being discipled and discipling others). That's why we created the Pod ministry (Pods stands for "People Of Discipleship"). Young people involved in Renewal Youth Ministries are encouraged to become a part of one of our many Pod discipleship groups.
These pods are single-sex groups of up to 10 young people being discipled by a youth leader. Each Pod group varys greatly depending on how the Pod leader feels to run it. For example, one Pod group meets weekly for Bible study, while another meets monthly for a social event, but communicates every few days via social networking tools like Facebook.
Pods are all about getting involved, growing in God, and making a difference... Are you keen to join a Pod?
